Seasonal Courier Driver

Our company is hiring a seasonal courier in Ottawa, ON for a temporary stint of up to 12 weeks, depending on business needs. You will run pick-ups and deliveries on an assigned route and handle customer service along the way. The role is filled through an interview.

What you'll do

• Collect and drop off packages safely on your route while representing the company professionally

• Check each shipment against our company's service standards, labelling and paperwork

• Load your van, plan an efficient route, and keep packages, equipment and the vehicle secure

• Track stop counts and missorts and enter accurate data in the dispatch and tracking systems

• Answer customer questions about services and Canada, US and international shipping requirements

• Pass sales leads and market changes to the sales department

• Help with aircraft or container loading, sorting and scanning when workload requires

Schedule

• Shift 1: Sunday to Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm

• Shift 2: Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 4:30pm

• Shifts may change with operational needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• No experience needed; 1 year of customer service is preferred

• Valid driver's license (Class 5, G or 1 [AZ])

• Two or fewer violations and/or accidents in the 24 months before you apply

• Bilingual in French and English if you live in Quebec

• Ability to pass required testing and training
