DZ Food Service Delivery Driver — From $25/hr

Bondi Produce & Specialty Foods in Etobicoke is hiring an experienced local delivery driver for a full-time, permanent role. This is hands-on foodservice delivery: you drive a straight truck and also carry the product into each customer's location.

Pay

• Starts at $25.00 per hour

• Pay can rise with your experience and after you complete probation

What you'll do

• Run a 20' or larger straight truck on a route with many stops each day

• Deliver to restaurants, hotels, country clubs and other foodservice customers across the GTA and Southern Ontario

• Unload and wheel product to the customer's receiving area using a dolly, including stairs, kitchens and tight spots

• Greet customers professionally, keep your truck tidy and safe, and fill out the delivery paperwork

Physical demands

The role means lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling all shift long and getting in and out of the truck repeatedly. It is not a sit-behind-the-wheel job.

Who fits

• 5 or more years of local delivery work, ideally hand-delivery to restaurants, hotels, grocery, beverage or similar customers

• DZ or AZ licence preferred; a G licence is considered if you have extensive 20 ft+ straight truck experience

• A clean driving record for the last 3 years and a safe driving history

• Good knowledge of the GTA and Southern Ontario

• Able to work up to 6 days a week, weekends included, with starts as early as 5:00 AM

• Dependable, comfortable working alone, and looking for a long-term career

Not a match

The employer says this is likely not for you if your background is mainly long-haul or highway driving, dock-to-dock or terminal-to-terminal freight, rideshare, parcel or small-package courier work, or jobs where someone else unloads.

Benefits

• Dental, extended health and vision coverage, available after the eligibility/probation period

• On-site parking
