Casual Package Delivery Courier — $23.28/hr

Our company is hiring a casual package courier in Granby, QC. You will drive a delivery vehicle on an assigned route, picking up and delivering parcels and helping customers along the way. Pay is $23.28 an hour.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages on your assigned route, courteously and efficiently

• Check that each shipment meets our company's service terms and is labelled properly with accurate paperwork

• Load your van, plan the route and keep packages, equipment and vehicles secure

• Enter correct information into the computerized tracking and dispatch systems

• Answer customer questions about FedEx services and Canadian, US and international requirements

• Pass sales leads and market changes to the sales department

• Depending on the site and workload, you may also load or unload aircraft or containers and sort and scan parcels

Requirements

• A valid driver's license (Class 5, G or 1 [AZ]) and a record with no more than two violations or accidents in the last 24 months

• High school diploma or equivalent

• A passing result on the mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training

• Able to lift 70 lbs and handle packages up to 150 lbs using proper equipment

• Bilingual in French and English if you live in Quebec

• Good communication, time management and customer service skills, and comfort working under pressure

• A year of customer-oriented work is preferred; knowing our company operations and Canadian Customs rules is an asset
