Casual Package Courier Driver — $23.28/hr

Our company is hiring a casual courier in Mirabel, QC to pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route. The work is flexible, with a minimum of 4 shifts per month, and pays $23.28 per hour.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages along your assigned route, representing our company professionally.

• Check that each shipment meets our company Canada's service standards, is labelled properly and has accurate paperwork.

• Load your van, plan an efficient route and keep packages, equipment and vehicles secure.

• Use the tracking and dispatch systems and enter correct information.

• Answer customer questions about services and shipping requirements, and pass sales leads to the sales team.

• Depending on the location and workload, you may also load or unload aircraft and containers and sort and scan packages.

Pay and schedule

• $23.28 per hour.

• Flexible shifts, with at least 4 shifts worked each month.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license (Class 5, G or 1 [AZ]) and a good driving record, with two or fewer violations and/or accidents in the last 24 months.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Pass the mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.

• Quebec residents must be bilingual in French and English.

• Able to lift 70 lbs and handle packages up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment.

• One year of customer-oriented business experience is preferred; knowledge of our company Canada operations and Canadian customs is an asset.

• Strong customer service, communication, time management and organizational skills, and the ability to handle a high-pressure environment.
