About this job
Our company in Dallas, TX needs a truck driver for a mix of local routes and over-the-road runs. The freight changes by load, so you'll work with different trailer types depending on what's assigned.
What you'll haul
- Loads vary by assignment and can include reefer trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or vehicle transport
- Hazmat loads only when you're authorized and the paperwork is in order
What the job involves
- Driving commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions
- Following dispatch directions and keeping trip records
- Loading, unloading, and securing freight yourself
- Checking your truck and trailer before runs, including reefer units, and flagging any problems
Requirements
- Experience driving trucks, commercial vehicles, or making deliveries is a plus
- Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules
- Able to handle GPS routing and manual freight work
- Hazmat endorsement needed for some routes
