Seasonal Courier Driver — $25.00/hr, Sept-Îles Home-Based Role

Our company is looking for a seasonal courier to pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route out of Sept-Îles. This is a temporary assignment lasting up to 12 weeks, and selection involves an interview.

Pay

• $25.00 per hour

• Schedule runs 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• This is a home-based position out of Sept-Îles

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages safely and efficiently while keeping a professional, tidy appearance

• Sort and inspect your assigned packages, then report stop counts and any missorts

• Load your van and plan your route following courier best practices and company procedures, protecting our company and customer property along the way

• Look for extra business from existing customers and pass sales leads or market changes to the sales team

• Check that packages meet our company Canada's service standards, carry correct labels, and have clean, accurate paperwork; make sure customers have enough shipping supplies

• Use the company's tracking and dispatch systems, entering information correctly

• Answer customer questions about our company Canada's services and keep them updated on company offerings and on Canadian, US and international shipping requirements

• Know your equipment and service features well

• Drive safely and efficiently, following all government rules and company procedures

• Depending on the location and workload, you may also help load or unload aircraft or containers, and sort or scan packages

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• No prior experience required; one year of customer service experience is preferred

• A customer-focused attitude

• A valid driver's licence (such as class 5, G or 1/AZ) with no more than two violations or accidents in the 24 months before applying

• Willingness to work different shifts as operational needs require, follow required training and testing, and work in a Windows environment

• Quebec-based employees must be bilingual in French and English

• Driving candidates are also assessed on their annual driving record, interview performance, and results of driving evaluations
