About this job
Our company is hiring a full-time Class 1 city driver for flatbed work in Montreal, QC. Shifts start early, between 4am and 7am, Monday to Friday, with weekend shifts available if you want them.
Pay
- $28.00–$30.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 55–60 per week
What you'll haul
- Flatbed loads are the main focus; dry van and reefer experience is a plus
- You'll strap, chain and tarp freight to secure it properly
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license with a clean record
- At least 2 years of verifiable driving experience in Canada or the US
- Good knowledge of Montreal streets and traffic
- Able to use WhatsApp for dispatch coordination and Samsara for electronic logs
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Keep accurate electronic logbooks
- Follow all safety rules and company procedures
- Plan routes and navigate with a trucker's GPS for on-time delivery
