Seasonal Courier Driver — 12-Week Temporary Position

Our company in Rimouski, QC is hiring a seasonal courier driver for a temporary role lasting up to 12 weeks. You'll pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route while giving customers friendly, reliable service. This position requires an interview before hiring.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

• Plus four Saturdays: November 21 and 28, and December 5 and 12, also 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

What you'll do

• Pick up and drop off packages safely and on time, keeping a clean, professional appearance that reflects well on the company

• Check and sort assigned packages accurately, then report stop counts and any missorts

• Load your van and plan your route following courier best practices, keeping packages, equipment and vehicles secure

• Look for extra business opportunities with existing customers and pass sales leads or market changes on to the sales team

• Make sure packages meet our company's service standards, are labelled correctly, and have accurate, legible paperwork; keep customers stocked with shipping supplies

• Enter and manage data correctly in computerized tracking and dispatch systems

• Answer customer questions about our company's services and keep them updated on company offerings and Canadian, US and international shipping requirements

• Know your equipment and service features well

• Drive safely and efficiently, following all government rules and company procedures

• Help load or unload aircraft or containers, and sort or scan packages, when the branch needs it

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• No prior experience required; a year of customer service experience is a plus

• A customer-first attitude

• Valid driver's licence (such as class 5, G or 1/AZ)

• No more than two violations or accidents on your driving record in the past 24 months

• Candidates are assessed on their annual driving record, interview performance, and results of driving evaluations

• Must be bilingual (French and English) if based in Quebec

• Comfortable working in a Windows environment, completing required training and tests, and working varying shifts as operations require
