Seasonal Courier/Delivery Driver — 12-Week Role, Rimouski, QC

Our company is hiring a courier in Rimouski, QC for a seasonal, temporary role lasting up to 12 weeks. You'll pick up and drop off packages on an assigned route, handling customer service along the way. Getting this job requires an interview.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages safely and efficiently on your assigned route, keeping a professional, tidy appearance that reflects well on the company.

• Sort and inspect your packages accurately and on time, then report stop counts and any missorted items.

• Follow approved courier procedures: load your van, plan your route, and protect FedEx and customer property (packages, equipment, vehicles).

• Look for extra business opportunities with existing customers and pass along any sales leads or market changes to the sales team.

• Make sure packages meet our company's service standards, are labelled correctly, and that paperwork is accurate; keep customers stocked with FedEx shipping supplies.

• Use the company's tracking and dispatch systems, entering data correctly.

• Answer customer questions about our company's services and keep them up to date on company offerings and on Canadian, US and international shipping requirements.

• Know the service options and equipment well enough to explain them.

• Drive carefully and efficiently, following all government rules and company policy.

• Depending on the location and workload, you might also load or unload aircraft or containers, or sort and scan packages.

Schedule

This is a 12-week seasonal position. You need to be available Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., plus four Saturdays: November 21 and 28, and December 5 and 12, also 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• No prior experience required; one year of customer service experience is preferred.

• A customer-focused attitude.

• A valid driver's licence (such as Class 5, G, or 1/AZ) with no more than two violations and/or accidents in the past 24 months.

• You'll be assessed on your driving record, your interview, and the results of driving evaluations.

• Quebec-based employees must be bilingual in French and English.

• You may be asked to work different shifts depending on operational needs, complete required training and testing, and work in a Windows computing environment.
