Our company in Brooklyn, NY is looking for owner-operators who bring their own box truck or van to run delivery routes. You'll set your own pace while handling freight professionally from pickup to drop-off.
Pay
- From $1,300.00 per week
What you'll do
- Drive your own box truck or van on delivery routes, following DOT rules and traffic laws
- Load and unload cargo by hand or with equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Check your vehicle before each trip to confirm it's safe and road-ready
- Get shipments to customers on time and represent the company well during each stop
- Use a mobile device to navigate routes and update delivery status
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, inspections and related paperwork
Requirements
- Background in commercial driving, delivery work or courier services, with safe lifting and handling habits
- Comfortable with warehouse tasks, material handling equipment and manual lifting
- Confident driving a manual transmission vehicle
- Strong customer service skills and a professional manner on deliveries
- Able to plan routes using mobile apps for efficient scheduling
- Experience with pallet jacks or similar load/unload tools
- Solid grasp of DOT rules and safe practices for handling heavy loads
