Local CDL-A Delivery Driver — Home Nightly

Our company is looking for a reliable local CDL-A driver to run an assigned delivery route out of Oneonta, NY, handling food and supply deliveries to customers and unloading product by hand. You'll start at $33.53 an hour, moving up to $36.58 after your first 90 days, and most drivers are home every night.

Home time

• Daily routes with drivers typically home nightly

What you'll haul

• Meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods and other supplies delivered to customer stops on a set route

What you'll do

• Drive a tractor-trailer safely on your assigned route

• Hand-unload and deliver goods to each customer location

• Build relationships with customers by understanding their needs

• Work some overtime, weekends and holidays as the business requires

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL with a driving record that meets company standards

• Able to pass required employment testing

• Able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, understand road signs, and complete paperwork

• Able to repeatedly lift, push or move loads averaging 40-60 pounds, up to 100 pounds

• Preferred: a year of delivery experience, some hand-cart experience, some food and beverage background, and a steady work history
