About this job
This role is for an experienced 8 or 9 car hauler driving company-owned equipment out of Long Island, NY — no owner-operators. You'll run loaded 2025 T880 trucks with 80 ft Cottrell quick-load trailers, picking up at company-owned yards so vehicles are already staged and ready to go.
Pay
- $450.00 - $630.00 per day
- Rate varies depending on which auction destination you're assigned
Home time
- Truck is based out of West Babylon, NY
- Overnight shifts starting as early as 7pm; day and night shifts available on weekends
What you'll haul
- 8 or 9 vehicles per load using Cottrell quick-load trailers
- Pickups from company yards in West Babylon, Queens, Westchester, and Eastern Long Island
- Deliveries to Manheim auction locations in NY, NJ, or Southern CT
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a strong driving record
- Prior tractor-trailer experience; flatbed or refrigerated trailer experience is a plus
- Comfortable loading and securing vehicles correctly
- Able to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep accurate trip records
- Forklift certification is helpful but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work solo or as part of a team
