OTR Household Goods Moving Truck Driver

This role moves household belongings cross-country for customers, driving commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on long-haul routes. You'll be responsible for the full move: planning the route, loading and securing items, and getting them delivered safely.

What you'll haul

• Household goods and personal belongings for relocating customers

• Occasional refrigerated trailer assignments

• Possible exposure to hazardous or regulated materials depending on the load

Responsibilities

• Operate the truck on long-distance routes using GPS for planning and navigation

• Load, strap down, transport and unload customer belongings by hand

• Check the vehicle and equipment before and during trips, flagging any mechanical or safety issues

• Stay compliant with FMCSA and DOT rules, including hazardous materials regulations when relevant

Requirements

• Valid license and credentials for the truck you'll be driving

• Comfortable with physical lifting, loading and unloading

• Working knowledge of GPS and route planning

• Prior delivery or commercial driving experience helpful

• Experience with car hauling, flatbed, tanker, dump or roll-off trucks is a plus

Pay

This position pays between $15,000.00 and $18,000.00 per month.
