About this job
Our company is looking for an OTR Flatbed/Stepdeck Driver to haul freight over the road. You'll run flatbed and stepdeck trailers, with occasional assignments on auto transport, reefer, or tanker loads.
Pay
- $0.63 - $0.75 per mile
What you'll haul
- Flatbed and stepdeck freight as the main focus
- Occasional auto transport, refrigerated trailer, or tanker loads depending on assignment
What the job involves
- Running OTR and route-driving assignments, including some delivery stops
- Loading, unloading, and securing freight by hand, and confirming loads are ready before you roll
- Planning your route with GPS, keeping to delivery timelines, and passing along updates on your route or delivery status
- Driving safely and securing loads properly so freight arrives in good shape
Requirements
- Commercial driving experience, including delivery driving and manual transmission
- Hands-on experience with flatbed and stepdeck work, including loading, unloading, and securing cargo
- Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules
- Familiarity with hazardous materials rules; Hazmat experience or endorsement is a plus if you'll be assigned those loads
- Background running OTR routes and using GPS for navigation; experience with reefer, auto transport, or tanker freight is a plus
