About this job
Our company is hiring an experienced OTR dry van driver to run a company-provided automatic truck under a 1099 independent contractor arrangement. You'll haul dry van freight over the road, staying out a minimum of three weeks at a time, with the company working to get you home for major holidays.
Pay
- Starts at $0.68 per mile
- Rises to $0.70 CPM after 90 days, $0.72 CPM after 6 months, and tops out at $0.75 CPM after 1 year
- Increases depend on solid performance with no major safety, service, or conduct issues
- $1,000 holiday bonus once you complete a full year, paid out in four $250 weekly installments
Home time
Expect to be out on the road for at least three weeks per stretch, though the company says it works with drivers to get them home for major holidays. Further home-time details are discussed at the interview.
What you'll haul
Dry van freight, over-the-road, using a company-supplied International tractor with an automatic transmission.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- At least 2 years of CDL-A driving experience
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
- Able to handle three-plus weeks on the road at a stretch
- Willing to operate as a 1099 independent contractor
