About this job
Our company is hiring over-the-road bulk truck drivers based out of North Carolina. You run a company-provided truck, deliver freight on assigned routes and work mostly on your own, with dispatch support.
Pay
- $700 to $1,300 per week, depending on how many loads you complete.
- Pay is load based; the posting also mentions mileage-based pay.
- Training is paid.
Schedule and home time
- Two weeks on the road, then one week off.
What you'll do
- Drive the company bulk truck on OTR routes and deliver freight safely and on time.
- Load, unload and secure freight, using a pallet jack and lifting heavy items.
- Check the vehicle, report problems or incidents, and keep trip and delivery records accurate.
- Update dispatch on deliveries, delays and route changes.
- Keep the truck clean and present yourself professionally.
Requirements
- A valid Class C license or state equivalent; no CDL is mentioned.
- Age 21 or older with a clean driving record.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- At least 1 year in the last 3 driving a box truck, flatbed, straight truck or larger.
- Able to handle long driving stretches, multi-week trips and heavy lifting.
- Dependable, able to work independently, with good customer service skills.
