About this job
Our company, a family-run carrier out of San Antonio, Texas, needs a dependable driver to run a 26-foot box truck on interstate routes, with nights away from home expected.
Pay
- You earn 20% of the gross revenue each load generates, paid out weekly.
- Posted weekly take-home runs between $800.00 and $1,100.00, though actual earnings shift with freight volume and completed runs.
What you'll haul
- General freight moved point-to-point in a 26-foot box truck.
- Some runs are straight dock-to-dock; others need you to help load and unload, including using a manual pallet jack.
- You'll strap down and secure cargo, keep the truck's cab and box tidy, and stay in touch with dispatch about delays and progress.
Schedule
- Routes depend on available freight and dispatch assignments, with multi-day trips and overnight stays part of the job.
- Strong performers may be considered for a permanent role down the line.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license with a clean record; CDL is a plus but not mandatory.
- A current DOT medical card is required before you start — help scheduling the exam is available if you don't already have one.
- Commercial driving background is strongly preferred, ideally with a 26-foot box truck.
- You should be comfortable backing into docks, securing loads with straps, running a manual pallet jack, and pitching in physically with freight handling.
- Willingness to be on the road for extended stretches, work independently, and keep dispatch updated professionally.
Benefits
- Fuel card provided.
- Safety gear supplied by the company.
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
