About this job
Our company is hiring an experienced OTR driver to run a company-owned, non-CDL straight/box truck as a 1099 independent contractor. You'll handle multi-state, multi-day freight runs with general and palletized loads, working closely with dispatch and brokers.
Pay
You're paid 22%–25% of qualifying gross line-haul revenue, with your starting percentage set by experience and room to grow based on safety, reliability, and performance. Weekly performance bonuses are also available. Mylyfe estimates weekly earnings in the $1,000–$1,800 range, though actual pay depends on freight volume, rates, and completed revenue. As a contractor, you cover your own taxes, health insurance, and benefits.
What you'll haul
Expect regional and OTR runs with general and palletized freight, varying pickup/delivery schedules, and occasional liftgate deliveries or multiple stops. This isn't a home-nightly role — be ready for multi-day trips away from home.
What's provided
Mylyfe supplies the truck, a fuel card for business fuel, commercial insurance, dispatch support, toll/PrePass assistance, and established broker relationships. The company also covers maintenance and repairs, so there's no truck payment or lease involved.
Requirements
You'll need at least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, a valid driver's license, and a current DOT medical card. Non-CDL straight/box truck and OTR experience are strongly preferred. You must pass MVR and insurance screening, maintain a clean safety record, and be comfortable working independently with a smartphone for GPS, dispatch, and paperwork apps. You'll also need to safely operate a liftgate and ramp for freight handling.
