About this job
This is a local delivery driving role for our company in Lewisville, TX, running route-based deliveries rather than long-haul trips. You'll be responsible for getting product to customers and handling the paperwork that comes with it.
What you'll do
- Drop off products at customer locations along your route
- Handle paperwork for completed routes and any returns
- Load the truck when needed
- Collect payments from customers as required
- Pick up inbound product when needed
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fueling, and logs
- Keep customers and management informed of any issues
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service
Requirements
- At least 6 months of driving experience; 1 year is preferred
- Prior route delivery experience is preferred over OTR background
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum Class C driver's license
- A driving record that meets the company's insurability standards
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable using a hand truck and pallet jack
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds
