Non-CDL Hot Shot OTR Driver — $800–$1,200/week

Our company needs an experienced Non-CDL hot shot driver for over-the-road runs across the United States, hauling time-sensitive freight with a Ram 3500 and 40-foot trailer. You'll spend extended stretches on the road, sleeping in the truck's sleeper setup between runs.

What you'll haul

• Freight and equipment delivered nationwide using a Ram 3500 and 40-foot trailer

What you'll do

• Drive the truck and trailer combination safely in all kinds of road and weather conditions, aiming for on-time delivery

• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep an eye on the vehicle's condition, flagging maintenance needs

• Strap and tie down loads properly so cargo stays secure

• Plan and follow routes, keeping to delivery timelines

• Keep logs, receipts and delivery paperwork accurate and up to date

• Stay in regular contact with dispatch on load status, route changes, delays and delivery confirmations

• Adjust to shifting schedules, weather and customer needs while staying professional

• Handle pickups and deliveries with good customer service, representing the company well

Requirements

• Hands-on hot shot or OTR driving experience required

• Valid driver's license with a clean record; large truck or commercial driving experience is a plus but not required since this is a non-CDL role

• Able to lift heavy items safely using correct techniques

• Solid grasp of traffic laws, DOT rules and safe driving habits on busy roads

• Comfortable using phones or tablets for navigation, updates and communication

• Good at organizing and prioritizing multiple deliveries in a fast-paced setting

• Some familiarity with warehouse tasks like manual handling and moving supplies is helpful
