CDL-A Truck Driver Trainer — Up to $85,000 Average Annual Earnings

Our company is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to mentor and train new drivers out on the road. You'll get paid for both your own miles and your student's miles while running OTR together.

Pay

• Mileage pay ranges from $0.45 to $0.63 per mile

• Top-performing trainers average $85,000 a year, or about $1,600 a week

• Extra $200 per week whenever you have a student riding with you, on top of your mileage pay

• Earn a bonus that matches any production or safety bonus your graduated trainees hit in their first year on the job

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A license

• Either 6 months of Class A experience in the past year, or 1 year of experience in the past 5 years

• No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 2 years and no major accident in the last 5

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years

• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening

• To qualify as a trainer: at least 30 days with Knight, 60,000 solo miles, and one winter season of OTR driving

• Willing to commit to runs of at least 2 weeks

• No more than 1 moving violation and 1 preventable incident in the past year
