Non-CDL Delivery Driver — $15.64–$20.33/hr

Our company in Tempe, AZ needs a Non-CDL delivery driver to haul and deliver AV equipment to customer sites using company vans and box trucks under 26,001 lbs GVWR. You'll report to the Warehouse Operations Manager and work set routes while supporting the warehouse and hotel teams.

Pay

• $15.64 to $20.33 per hour, based on qualifications, location and experience

• Some roles may qualify for overtime, bonuses or other incentives

What you'll do

• Drive and operate Encore vans and box trucks under 26,001 lbs GVWR on assigned routes and schedules

• Load and unload gear, checking orders against pickup and delivery lists for accuracy

• Secure cargo properly to avoid damage in transit

• Keep logbooks (manual or electronic, depending on your region) and complete pre-trip vehicle inspections

• Follow traffic laws and adjust driving to road and weather conditions

• Help with equipment pulls, receiving, staging and the yearly inventory count

• Keep vehicles clean, fueled with fluids (washer fluid, DEF, etc.) topped off, and flag any mechanical issues or incidents to your supervisor

• Stay in touch with dispatch and provide strong service to both coworkers and clients

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience

• Clean driving record

• Comfortable with basic computer use, GPS/routing apps and smartphones

• Understanding of load securement and basic vehicle upkeep

• Able to sit or drive for extended periods and handle heavy city traffic

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physical demands

• Mostly seated (6-8 hours/day), with some standing, walking and light lifting

• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs; nothing over 100 lbs required

Work environment

• Based out of a hotel, warehouse or on the road, with travel to other Encore sites and client venues

• Schedule can include evenings, weekends and holidays

• Warehouse work may involve outdoor temperatures, dust and varying noise levels
