New CDL-A Driver Mentor Program — $1,600–$1,800/wk After Training

Our company is launching new CDL-A holders into a driving career through a paid mentor program based in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area. You'll spend 4 to 6 weeks riding and working with an experienced driver before moving into your own solo seat. This role fits recent grads who want real road experience before going out on their own.

Pay

• Training weeks are paid throughout the 4-6 week mentor period.

• Once you move to solo driving, pay runs $1,600-$1,800 per week.

• You're paid weekly by direct deposit.

Training

• Spend 4 to 6 weeks paired with an experienced mentor driver.

• Learn daily routines, how to handle pickups and deliveries, and how to manage freight safely and efficiently.

• Build skills in trip planning, communication, and on-the-road decision-making as you move from classroom knowledge to independent driving.

• Get structured, hands-on guidance designed to build your confidence before you solo.

What you'll be doing

• Work alongside your mentor on deliveries while learning safe load handling.

• Follow DOT rules, complete required vehicle inspections, and build solid habits for life on the road.

• Stay in regular contact with your mentor and dispatch, asking questions and giving clear updates as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a CDL-A license (no prior driving experience required).

• Bring a safety-first approach and follow company procedures and DOT rules consistently.

• Show up reliably and keep to your schedule during and after training.

• Be open to coaching and real-time feedback from your mentor.

• Communicate clearly and consistently with your mentor and dispatch.
