About this job
Our company is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to run local and regional intermodal freight out of Houston, TX. Most routes get you home daily, and this is a steady, year-round company driver position.
Pay
- Starts from $1,500.00 per week
- Paid weekly, with direct deposit available
What you'll haul
- Containers moving between Port Houston terminals (Bayport and Barbours Cut) and rail yards
- BNSF intermodal and rail terminal freight
- Chassis and container handling
Home time
- Home daily on most routes
- Local and regional lanes
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Current TWIC card (required)
- Clean driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules
- Good communication skills and a professional, safety-first attitude
- Experience with Port Houston, Bayport, Barbours Cut, Lynx, UIIA, or rail operations is a plus
What you'll do
- Pick up and drop off containers at port and rail terminals
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Stay in regular contact with dispatch on load status and delays
- Follow DOT safety and compliance rules
- Represent the company professionally with customers
