About this job
Our company, a distributor of commercial print, packaging and facility supplies, is hiring a full-time local delivery driver for its Winnipeg location. You'll deliver customer orders on set routes, handling the full process from loading to proof of delivery.
What you'll do
- Organize invoices and load the truck in route sequence
- Check stock against customer charge sheets before departure
- Perform a pre-trip safety check (air brakes, fluids, safety gear)
- Complete deliveries safely, get customer signatures, and collect COD payments where needed
- Load and unload boxes with an electric dolly
- Pick up and verify authorized returns
- Keep the truck and staging area clean and update manifest and log sheets
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid class 5 or class 3 driver's license with a clean abstract
- Completed defensive driving course
- Prior truck driving experience, ideally with air brakes
- Experience driving in a similar industry
- Valid forklift certificate, plus WHMIS and TDG certifications
- Warehouse experience and basic computer skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors, including occasional evenings/weekends
