About this job
Our company is looking for a Vacuum Truck Operator to join its Vacuum Truck Services team in Winnipeg, MB. You'll handle a mix of industrial vacuum work, keeping safety and client service at the center of everything you do.
What you'll do
- Operate vacuum equipment for hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing and water hauling
- Load and transport various fluids and materials
- Fill out pre-trip inspections and driver logs to meet NSC standards
- Keep thorough records to support the work you complete
- Take part in safety meetings, near-miss reporting and hazard assessments
- Manage your own schedule and productivity while communicating well with the team
Requirements
- Valid Manitoba Class 1 or Class 3 licence with Air Brake endorsement, as required
- 2 years of experience with industrial vacuum trucks and/or hydro-excavating, combo unit experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in an industrial, safety-focused environment
- Able to do light maintenance on your unit
- Good physical health to handle the job's demands
- Available for after-hours calls and occasional short overnight travel
- First Aid/CPR, CSTS, TDG and H2S Alive certifications are a plus
