About this job
L.J. Quigliano, Inc., a family-owned excavation and site development company in the Buffalo-Niagara region, is hiring a local truck driver to support its construction crews. Both CDL and non-CDL drivers are welcome to apply, and your truck assignment will depend on your license and experience. This is local, home-daily work, not over-the-road driving.
Pay
- $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience and licensing
- Full-time, around 40 hours per week
What you'll do
- Haul construction materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites around Sanborn, Wheatfield and the wider Buffalo-Niagara area
- CDL holders may run dump trucks and other commercial vehicles depending on their license and endorsements
- Non-CDL drivers operate vehicles that don't need a commercial license and help with deliveries and general site tasks
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep your truck clean, flagging any maintenance issues
- Follow DOT rules and company safety procedures, including safe movement around active excavation sites
- Coordinate with foremen and crew members, and pitch in on-site when needed
Requirements
- Valid driver's license; a Class A or Class B CDL is preferred but not required for every role
- Clean driving record
- Prior truck driving or construction experience preferred; dump truck experience is a plus
- Comfortable loading, hauling and unloading materials, and doing basic truck checks
- Dependable transportation and solid attendance
- Able to work outdoors in all weather, both independently and alongside a crew
Benefits
- Health insurance
- 401(k)
- Steady, local full-time work with an established excavation and site development company
- CDL drivers may take on added responsibilities over time
L.J. Quigliano is open to drivers who already hold a CDL as well as experienced drivers looking to move into construction work. The company is an equal opportunity employer.
