Local CDL-B Delivery Driver — Mon-Fri, 40-45 Hrs/Week

Our company is looking for a local CDL-B driver in Huntsville, AL to deliver compressed gas cylinders and Dewars to business customers using a company truck. You'll work out of the retail shop location, loading, unloading and securing cylinders at customer sites, and building good working relationships with the people you deliver to.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, starting between 5am and 8am

• Average of 40-45 hours per week

What you'll do

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle

• Load and unload cylinders, Dewars and supplies each day

• Secure and unsecure cylinders safely during transport

• Use a hand cart to complete deliveries on customer properties (this is a physically active, hands-on role)

• Get in and out of the vehicle frequently throughout the day

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement (or ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire) and an airbrake endorsement

• Current driver's license, medical card and required endorsements

• Driving record with no more than 2 traffic convictions or 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, or no more than 1 of each

• No DUI or controlled substance violations in the last 7 years

• Able to pass a drug screening and work in a drug-free workplace

• Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move loads over 125 lbs with material handling equipment

• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in the past 5 years, or a trucking school completion certificate from the last 12 months

• Forklift experience is a plus
