Local CDL-B Delivery Driver — $33.50–$37.00/hr

Our company is hiring a local CDL-B delivery driver to run scheduled routes out of its South Plainfield, NJ filling plant, handling industrial cylinder deliveries on a Monday through Friday day shift.

Pay

• $33.50 to $37.00 per hour

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, day shift

• Occasional mandatory overtime, weekends and holidays for on-call coverage

What you'll haul

• Industrial gas cylinders and related products delivered on set routes, plus occasional non-route stops

What you'll do

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and follow all DOT, federal, state and local rules

• Load and unload the truck and keep load paperwork accurate

• Pull orders from the warehouse, flag any cylinder issues, and collect and turn in customer payments

• Keep required company and DOT records up to date

• Help customers with inventory and delivery questions

Requirements

• Valid CDL-B with Hazmat endorsement, or willingness to get one

• Clean driving record: no more than 2 traffic violations or 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years (or 1 of each)

• Able to pass a drug-free workplace screening

• Able to lift 75 lbs regularly and move loads over 125 lbs with equipment help

• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in the past 5 years, or a trucking school completion certificate from within the last 12 months

• Forklift experience and additional CDL experience are a plus
