Local CDL-B Delivery Driver — $32.50–$35.25/hr, M–F Day Shift

Our company is looking for a local delivery driver to haul compressed gas cylinders to business customers from the Islandia, NY plant. You'll run a company-provided straight or box truck on a set Monday-to-Friday day shift, building relationships with the accounts you serve.

Pay

• $32.50-$35.25/hr

• Quarterly bonus potential

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, day shift

What you'll haul

• Compressed gas cylinders delivered to and picked up from external and internal customer sites

• You'll load, unload and track cylinders on a manifest, get customer signatures, and bring back empty, rejected or unsold cylinders for refilling

• Occasional warehouse or dock work as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL

• Valid DOT medical card

• Hazmat and tanker endorsements (or willingness to get them)

• At least 1 year of Class B driving experience in the past 5 years, or a diploma from an accredited driving school in place of experience

• Clean driving history: no more than 2 violations or 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, or a combined 1 violation and 1 at-fault accident

• Minimum age 21

• Able to read safety data sheets

• Able to lift 25-75 lbs regularly, and up to 125+ lbs occasionally with equipment assistance

• Able to drive with hazardous cargo for shifts up to 8 hours, with frequent bending

• Comfortable working independently under deadline pressure

• Willing to obtain forklift certification
