Local CDL-A Truck Driver — $24/hr, Home Daily

Our company in Erie, PA is hiring a local CDL-A truck driver who is home daily. The job pays $24 an hour, paid weekly, and involves drop-and-hook work with reefer equipment.

Pay

• $24 per hour, paid every week

What you'll do

• Drive safely and keep to efficient routes so deliveries arrive on time

• Check your truck for mechanical or safety problems before and after each trip

• Keep accurate records of your hours and the truck's service status

• Secure freight so it isn't damaged in transit

• Complete delivery paperwork and receipts accurately

• Tell management promptly about delays, accidents or other problems

• Watch fuel use, keep the truck clean and do basic upkeep

• Treat customers well at pickups and deliveries

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical certification

• Two years of verifiable commercial driving experience

• A clean record over the last 3 years: no DUIs, no reckless or careless driving, no more than 2 at-fault DOT reportable accidents, and no more than 2 speeding violations in the past year

• Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Regulations

• Comfortable dropping and hooking trailers and with reefer units

• Able to handle minor repairs if needed

• Ready to drive up to 11 hours a day on a flexible schedule, day or night, in any traffic or weather
