About this job
Our company has a full-time, year-round local driving job in Phoenix, AZ, with a temp-to-hire path to the customer. You'll run dedicated local routes across the Phoenix Valley with mostly drop-and-hook loads.
Pay
- $23.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours worked
- Temp-to-hire: qualified drivers can move to full-time employment with the customer once conversion requirements are met
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with optional Saturday shifts
- Shifts run 10 to 12 hours, usually starting early, between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM
- Year-round, steady work
What you'll haul
- Equipment includes dry van, reefer, and flatbed trailers
- Loads can include wine and beer, Costco freight, paper products, and general freight
- About 95% of the work is drop-and-hook, though some loading, unloading, or light physical work may come up
- Certain stops call for solid backing skills
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 6 months of CDL-A driving experience; 1 year is preferred
- Comfortable navigating routes throughout the Phoenix Valley
- Steady work history and a clean or acceptable driving record
- Willingness to help with occasional loading or unloading
