About this job
This company is looking for a CDL-A truck driver to run local routes out of Sacramento, within a 200-250 mile radius, hauling freight that includes refrigerated trailers. Pay runs $1,800.00 - $2,500.00 per week, and recent grads are welcome to apply through the training program.
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers
- Freight secured with load bars or straps
Responsibilities
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow traffic laws and safety rules while delivering on schedule
- Keep accurate delivery paperwork
- Plan efficient routes to meet customer timelines
- Stay in touch with dispatch and customers for pickups and drop-offs
- Follow hours-of-service and other transportation regulations
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A and a clean driving record
- Tractor-trailer experience preferred; reefer trailer experience a plus
- Comfortable climbing in and out of the cab and driving or standing for long stretches
- Strong communication skills with team members and customers
- New graduates accepted into the training program
