CDL-A Delivery Driver — $37.00/hr + $15,000 Bonus

Our company is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Mammoth Lakes, CA to deliver foodservice products to customers along local and regional routes. This is a touch-freight role involving hand unloading and direct customer interaction.

Pay

• Starting rate of $37.00 per hour, plus overtime

• $15,000 retention bonus for eligible new hires

• Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, location and other factors

Schedule

• Availability needed Monday through Sunday

• Shifts typically start between 2am and 4am, though start times can shift

What you'll haul

• Food and beverage products delivered to customer accounts

• All freight is hand-unloaded using a hand truck, ramp, or manual carrying

Responsibilities

• Drive safely on highways and city streets, including backing into tight loading docks

• Unload product by hand or with a two-wheeler and place it in the correct storage spot

• Get delivery paperwork signed and confirm order accuracy with customers

• Represent the company professionally during each stop

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Handle payment collection on applicable accounts

• Take on other tasks as assigned by your manager

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull or lower items weighing 20 to 80+ lbs throughout your shift

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, with 10 or more stops per shift

• Tolerate temperatures as low as 0 degrees in multi-temp environments

• Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, climbing, and standing or walking during the shift

Requirements

• Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a DOT-mandated database tracking drug and alcohol violations for CDL holders

• Minimum age of 21

• Valid CDL Class A from your state of residence, with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or 3 months specifically in food or beverage delivery

• Manual transmission skills are preferred and may be required depending on location

• Must read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, communicate with officials, and complete reports
