CDL-A Bulk Milk Tanker Driver — Home Daily, Starting $27/hr

Our company, a family-owned transportation company based in Phelps, NY, needs a CDL-A Tanker driver for local bulk milk hauling out of Lodi, NY. You'll pick up milk from farms and transport it to processing locations, with home time every day.

Pay

• Posted pay range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

• Also listed as starting at $27.00 per hour, with overtime after 45 hours

• AM/PM and weekend pay differentials apply

• After 6 months, you can qualify for a safety bonus program worth up to $9000 per year

Home time

• Local, home-daily position

• You should live close to the Lodi, NY area since this is a daily-commute route

What you'll haul

• Bulk milk and dairy products, picked up from farms and delivered along set local routes

• You'll drive a refrigerated tractor-trailer tanker

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving history

• Tanker endorsement required

• Comfortable driving a manual transmission

• Background in tractor-trailer or refrigerated trailer driving

• Understanding of DOT and FMCSA rules, including hazmat regulations where relevant

• Able to handle freight loading and unloading by hand as needed

• OTR experience is a plus but not mandatory

You'll also be responsible for pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, accurate paperwork (logs, inspection records, manifests), and staying in touch with dispatch and customers to keep deliveries on track.
