Local CDL-A Route Delivery Driver — $32.00/HR

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is hiring a Class A route delivery driver in Dallas, TX. You'll run local routes, moving freight to and from customer stops and the terminal on a set daytime schedule.

Pay

• $32.00/HR

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm

• Local route, no direct reports

What you'll do

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your rig

• Pick up and deliver freight between customer sites and the terminal as dispatch directs

• Load, unload, sort and palletize a variety of freight, by hand or using equipment

• Keep shipping paperwork in order and ready for DOT inspection, with the right documents traveling with each shipment

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Minimum age 21

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience

• No DUI or DWI convictions in the last 3 years

• No more than 3 traffic violations in the last 3 years

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required, or willingness to get them (renewal costs are reimbursed)

Physical demands

• Frequent entry and exit from the truck cab

• Ability to move freight or pallets up to 2,500 pounds onto a dolly or cart, applying up to 130 pounds of force with mechanical assistance

• Ability to carry loads up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet

• Ability to connect and disconnect trailers, including raising/lowering landing gear, working fifth wheel releases and pintle hooks, attaching safety chains, operating cargo doors, and checking fluid levels
