Local CDL-A Route Delivery Driver — $32.00/hr

Our company is looking for a local CDL-A driver in Houston, TX to run route deliveries, handling freight pickups and drop-offs at customer sites and the terminal.

Pay

• $32.00/hr

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Shift times are either 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm

• No direct reports

What you'll haul

• You'll move freight to and from customer stops and the terminal based on dispatch instructions

• Loading, unloading, sorting and palletizing freight by hand or with equipment assistance

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle

• Keeping shipping paperwork ready for DOT checks and making sure the right documents travel with each load

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Minimum age 21

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience

• No DUIs or DWIs within the last 3 years

• No more than 3 traffic violations in the last 3 years

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required, or willingness to get them (renewal costs reimbursed)

• Able to repeatedly get in and out of the truck cab

• Able to move freight or pallets up to 2,500 pounds onto a dolly or cart, using up to 130 pounds of force with mechanical help

• Able to carry loads up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet

• Able to connect and disconnect trailers, raise and lower landing gear, work fifth wheel releases and pintle hooks, attach safety chains, operate cargo doors, and check fluid levels
