About this job
Our company needs a local solo Class A driver based in Geismar, LA. You run a day cab with reefer trailers and haul grocery freight, and you are home every day.
Pay
- $26.50 for every hour worked, paid weekly
- Expect about 50 to 60 hours a week, which our company says comes to $1475 or more weekly
- Training is paid
Schedule and route
- Monday through Saturday, with dispatch between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
- Solo runs into Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama
- Local work with home time every day
What you'll haul
- Grocery freight that involves hands-on unloading
- 48-foot and 53-foot reefer trailers pulled by a day cab
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, with roadside maintenance around the clock and fueling at 800+ locations nationwide
Requirements
- Age 21 or older
- Class A CDL with any endorsements the job calls for
- Verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5, or 5 years in the last 10
- Delivery experience
- Pass a drug test, a background and driving record check (with 3 years of past employer drug and alcohol history), a DOT physical and a road test
- Some customer sites add extra screening
