About this job
Our company is hiring seasonal local CDL-A drivers in Shreveport, LA to run US Mail routes. You are home every day and paid by the hour.
Pay
- Total of $58.41 per hour: $51.47 base plus $6.94 HWP.
- HWP is paid for up to 40 hours a week and funds company group coverage for eligible employees.
- Orientation and quarterly safety training are paid.
- Refer a driver and earn up to $1,000 per referral.
Schedule and home time
- Part-time seasonal work, any day Monday through Sunday.
- Both AM and PM shifts are available.
- Routes vary with contract demand.
- Local work, home daily.
Requirements
- At least 1 year holding a valid CDL-A, with relevant experience.
- You must pass a criminal background check and have a clean MVR/PSP.
- Physical demands: lifting 50 lbs overhead, climbing into the truck, standing steady on the catwalk while coupling, pushing and pulling carts over 100 lbs, cranking landing gear, pulling the fifth-wheel release, and crawling under the trailer to check the pin lock.
- You can sit and drive for 4 hours at a stretch without a break.
