About this job
Our company, a Los Angeles trucking company, is hiring a local Class A CDL driver for container work at the LA and Long Beach ports. You run a home-daily route in an assigned truck, moving containers between the ports and customer warehouses.
Pay
- $33.00 to $36.00 per hour
What you'll do
- Collect containers at the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports
- Take them to the customer warehouses on your route
- Bring the containers back to the LA port once delivered
- Complete manifests and proof of delivery paperwork correctly
- Work through the company's logistics system and mobile app
Home time
- You are home every day
Requirements
- Class A CDL; a Hazmat endorsement is recommended
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- A TWIC card and knowledge of the 12 LA/LB terminals
- No more than two moving violations and no more than one DOT-recordable accident in the last 24 months
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- High school diploma or GED
- Clear verbal communication, familiarity with DOT paperwork, and an organized, detail-focused approach
