CDL-A Intermodal Truck Driver — Home Daily

This is a full-time night-shift intermodal driving job based in Bell Gardens, California. You run local and regional routes around the Los Angeles area, sleep in your own bed every day, and work five days a week. It is open to CDL-A drivers with as little as 3 months of verifiable experience.

Pay

• $19.25 per hour plus $18.71 for every stop

• Average weekly earnings of $1,400–$1,800, an approximate figure that depends on hours worked, completed stops and assigned routes

• Extra workdays are available if you want them

• Compensation is subject to applicable California wage-and-hour rules

Schedule and home time

• Home daily, after every shift

• Night shifts, either Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, so some weekend work is part of the job

• Shifts can stretch to 11–14 hours depending on freight demand

Where you'll drive

• Los Angeles area and the Inland Empire

• Occasional longer runs toward Shafter and Lebec, CA

• Slip-seat environment

What you'll do

• Move intermodal containers between rail ramps and customer facilities

• Handle live loads, live unloads and drop-and-hook jobs, with both preloaded and live freight

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Follow DOT rules and company safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A and at least 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience

• Live within 15 miles of ZIP code 90201 (Bell Gardens)

• Able to work nights and comfortable sharing trucks (slip-seat)

• Safe driving record and compliance with DOT and FMCSA requirements

• Willing to take longer regional runs when assigned
