About this job
Our company needs a local Class A driver at its Aurora, IL facility. This is a night-shift job with local pickups and deliveries, and you are home every day.
Pay
- $28.00 per hour plus overtime, paid weekly.
Schedule
- Shift runs 8pm to 4:30am, Monday through Friday.
- Training is 12p to 6p for the first 1-2 days.
The work
- Local pickups and deliveries in late model tractors and trailers, with minimal freight handling.
- Keep a daily log or route sheet, or use the ELD system.
- Stick to pickup and delivery schedules using the company's software tools.
- Keep your truck and work area clean, and follow all safety, security and company policies.
- Use the required cell phone apps and show up regularly.
Requirements
- You are at least 21.
- You hold a valid Class A CDL and meet DOT rules.
- You have six months of verifiable driving experience and a safe record.
- You can lift 50 lbs and handle walking, standing, stooping and bending, with or without accommodations.
- You can work mandatory overtime, which may mean weekends, holidays or another shift with little notice.
- You can communicate in English well enough for road signs, official questions and paperwork.
