About this job
Our company is hiring a local City P&D (pickup and delivery) CDL-A driver at their Maybrook, NY service center. You'll run multiple stops a day, handle freight with scanning equipment, work face-to-face with customers, and return to the terminal every day.
Pay
- Starting at $37.94/hr
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Various shift options
- Home every day
What you'll haul
- City delivery and pickup freight, multiple stops per shift
- Possible liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A
- At least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years
- Clean MVR and PSP record: no serious commercial violations and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Minimum age 23 (21 if you qualify under FMCSA's military-to-civilian CDL transition rules)
- Able to operate equipment safely at all times
- Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen
- Must pass a road test
- Able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
- Reliable attendance expected
Preferred, but not required:
- Doubles/Triples, Tanker, or Hazmat endorsements
- Experience hauling hazmat
- Background in local or LTL delivery
- Familiarity with electric pallet jacks
