Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver — Home Daily, No NYC

Run local intermodal freight out of Mechanicville, NY and be home every day. This is a slip-seat operation with company equipment, mostly no-touch loads, and no trips into NYC.

Pay

• Average annualized earnings of $78,000 based on recent driver activity

• $0.46-$0.52 per mile

• $5,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time

• Detention pay of $23-$28/hr after the first hour

• $40/stop for drop & hook

• $65/stop for live load/unload

• $45/stop when you handle the load/unload yourself

• Extra activity-based pay opportunities

• $200/day during new-hire training

• $210/day for holiday work

• Hazmat endorsement isn't required, but you can earn more by hauling hazmat loads if you're qualified

Home time

You'll be back home daily, running within about a 250-mile radius of Mechanicville, NY. Your truck stays at the ramp while you're off.

What you'll haul

Mostly no-touch intermodal freight, using company-owned trucks. Onsite management and maintenance support the operation.

Schedule

Expect a steady local, home-daily routine. You may be scheduled on Thanksgiving or New Year's, but Christmas is off.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Able to operate a tractor-trailer safely and legally

• Able to report daily to Mechanicville, NY and work within the local coverage area

• Comfortable with slip-seating trucks

• Willing to follow company safety policies and the assigned schedule, including possible holiday shifts

• Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background/MVR check
