Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver — Home Daily

Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run local intermodal routes out of Houston, TX. You will be home every day, moving freight in and out of rail yards.

What you'll haul

• Rail-based intermodal containers, picked up and dropped off at rail facilities

• A mix of live loads, live unloads, preloads and drop-and-hook moves

Schedule

• Home every day

• Shifts run about 10 to 12 hours

• Both day and night shifts are offered

• Choose from Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday

• Fixed, static schedule with 2 days off in a row each week

Pay

• Weekly pay ranges from $1,200.00 to $1,500.00

• Drivers typically earn around $1,000-1,300 per week

• Expect roughly 1,000-1,200 miles weekly

• Orientation is paid

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Minimum of 3 months driving experience

• Comfortable working around rail yard equipment and facilities

• Must meet standard safety and employment screening

• English language proficiency required

What you'll do

• Drive a Class A tractor on local intermodal runs

• Transport containers to and from rail terminals

• Keep accurate logs and paperwork

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Follow company safety rules on every route
