Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver — Home Daily, $78,000 Avg

Drive local intermodal freight out of Mechanicville, NY and sleep in your own bed every night. You'll run within about a 250-mile radius, skip New York City entirely, and haul mostly no-touch loads in a slip-seat setup with company-owned equipment that stays at the ramp while you're off.

Pay

• Average annualized earnings of $78,000, based on recent driver activity

• $0.46 to $0.52 per mile

• $5,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time

• Detention pay of $23 to $28 per hour after the first hour

• $40 per stop for drop and hook

• $65 per stop for live load or unload

• $45 per stop when you handle the load or unload yourself

• Extra activity-based pay opportunities, including bonus pay for qualified drivers who run Hazmat loads

• $200 per day during new-hire training

• $210 per day for holiday work

Home time

You're back home daily. The truck stays at the ramp during your time off, and orientation is paid and done online.

What you'll haul

Mostly no-touch intermodal freight, with onsite management and maintenance support at the ramp.

Schedule

This is a full-time, local position. Expect to work your assigned schedule, which may include working Thanksgiving and New Year's; Christmas is off.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Qualified to operate a tractor-trailer

• Able to report to Mechanicville, NY daily

• Willing to run within roughly a 250-mile radius

• Comfortable with slip-seat operations

• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening, background check, MVR review, and other employment checks

• Hazmat endorsement not required, but it opens the door to additional pay
