Local CDL-A Flatbed Delivery Driver — $28–$32/hr

Salit Metals, a metal distribution and processing center in Buffalo, NY, is looking for a local driver to deliver steel to customers across Western New York. You'll run a straight truck or tractor trailer on short-haul, regional routes, working Monday through Friday on a 40+ hour schedule.

• $28.00 to $32.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday, 40+ hours per week

What you'll haul

• Steel loaded on flatbed trailers, delivered locally and regionally throughout Western New York

What you'll do

• Drive and operate both a straight truck and a tractor trailer

• Tarp loads and keep cargo secure during transport

• Check tires, lights and brakes, and keep an eye on overall vehicle condition and performance

• Verify that loads match orders and meet quality standards before delivery

• Keep driver logs current and fill out inspection and incident reports when needed

• Treat customers well and represent the company professionally

• Help out in the warehouse once deliveries for the day are finished

• Take on other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• New York State CDL-A license preferred

• Experience with flatbed work and hauling steel is a plus

• CVOR certificate and Air Brake Adjustment certificate preferred

• Must pass a criminal background check, driving record check, medical exam and drug test

• Solid understanding of safe driving practices

• Background in industrial settings or machine operation is a plus

• Able to drive and sit for long stretches of time
