Local CDL-A Equipment Delivery Driver — Home Every Night

Our company in Vestal, NY is looking for a CDL-A driver to deliver and pick up equipment for customers on local routes. You'll be home every night and work directly with customers as the face of the company.

What you'll do

• Pick up and drop off equipment at customer sites

• Drive semi-trucks and trailers (low boys) classified as CDL-A

• Follow safety rules and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

• Keep accurate driver logs and perform pre-trip inspections

• Recommend extra equipment or supplies customers might need

• Handle other duties as assigned

Pay

Pay falls between $29.00 and $45.00, with the exact rate set under the collective bargaining agreement covering this role. Actual offers also depend on experience, training and skills.

Home time

This is a local position, so you return home every night.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving history

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 2 years of DOT-regulated commercial driving experience

• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills

• Able to lift up to 45 lbs regularly

• Working knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving practices

• Strong safety mindset

Note: this job falls under a Collective Bargaining Agreement, which sets pay and benefits. It's also classified as safety sensitive under company policy.
