About this job
Our company is hiring Class A CDL drivers for its private fleet in Charlotte, NC. You run regional and local routes Monday to Friday and are home every day, delivering the company's packaging products to its customers.
Pay and bonuses
- No hourly or per-mile rate is listed; the posting describes pay as competitive, with overtime after 40 hours.
- Sign-on bonus of up to $3,500.
- Quarterly safety bonus, plus a potential $2,000 for a full year with no accidents or violations.
- Referral bonuses when someone you refer is hired.
Schedule and home time
- Monday through Friday, home every day.
- The company says it will try to adjust your schedule around family needs, such as a later start.
A typical day
- Most of your day is spent driving, routing and managing your own activities with little supervision.
- Safe, on-time and accurate delivery is tracked by both the company and its customers.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record, at least 23 years old and 1 year of road experience.
- Able to handle freight up to 55 pounds.
- Medical card good for at least 90 more days.
- In the last 3 years: no more than 1 DOT recordable accident and no more than 3 moving violations. No DUIs in the last 5 years.
- Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required.
- Must speak English, follow safety and company rules, keep paperwork current, work any shift as needed and keep good attendance.
