About this job
Our company is hiring local Class A drivers for a no-touch retail run based in Johnstown, NY, with applicants also welcome from the Albany, NY area. You'll be home every day on a slip-seat schedule, working 5-6 days a week, holidays included.
Pay
- Expect roughly $1,500-$1,600 a week
- Earnings combine mileage pay with stop pay: $10 for your first stop and $15 per stop after that
- Routes shorter than 50 miles pay a flat $25
- There's no sign-on bonus with this position
Home time
- You'll be back home every day, since this runs as a slip-seat operation
What you'll haul
- No-touch retail freight delivered on local routes
- Live unloads at each stop
- Trucks are shared between drivers under the slip-seat setup, scheduled accordingly
Schedule
- Working 5-6 days weekly, with holiday shifts included
- Both day and night shifts are available; specifics get covered when you talk to the recruiter
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- Open to both trained drivers and newer ones starting out
- A solid driving record
- Current DOT medical card on file
- SAP drivers will not be considered
- Flexibility for holiday and varying shift schedules is a must
